Learning environments vary around the world, from well-equipped universities to simple one-room schools. Differing cultural and historical traditions enrich our profession with wonderful diversity. The purpose of Teacher Talk is to support discussion and sharing of ideas related to grammar teaching among ESL/EFL professionals worldwide. Teachers, materials writers, teacher trainers, teachers-in-training, researchers, and other interested academics are invited to join the discussion.

Teacher Talk messages should pertain to the teaching of grammar in the ESL/EFL classroom. Topics may include ways to teach different grammar structures, ideas for class activities, ways of using different materials in the classroom, methods of assessing students, and ideas about grammar teaching in relation to research and second language acquisition.
Shorter is better. The more succinct and to the point a message is, the more likely others will read and respond to it.
Courtesy and respect are expected from all members who post here. We welcome lively discussions and an open exchange of ideas on Teacher Talk. When challenging someone else’s views, please do it with courtesy and respect. We seek the highest standards for the tone of messages posted to our forums and will accept nothing less.
This is a moderated forum. All messages are freely posted, but the moderator reserves the right to remove messages for offensive or inappropriate content, including advertising and solicitations.
